Manager - IT Infrastructure & Enterprise Apps (10-15 yrs) (Orbis Hospitality Service)

Job Purpose :

- As the IT Infrastructure and Enterprise Applications Head the role is to Lead, Manage, Improve and Upgrade the IT Infrastructure operations covering Data Centers, Networks, Servers, Storage, Client machines, databases, security, and administration of Infrastructure, communication, and enterprise applications.

Accountability and Responsibility :


1. General Management

- Manage uninterrupted IT System running as per need

- Do Periodic Communication with key stakeholders (EC, Director, principal, process Heads) on IT process, collecting feedback and do course correction wherever required, and sharing the regular quarterly status of running applications/system.

- Perform regular reporting -Director about system status

- Keep posted and be in alliance with -HO IT for major project/ technology introduction in

- Maintaining a clean and safety conscious work environment with team and other users in

2. Monthly management MIS Strategy : Research and execute Projects


- Managing & Executing IT projects as per approved budget (Evaluation/Approval/Procurement/Deployment/Operation/Support/Maintenance/Renewal etc.)

- Participate and work with Senior Management/HOS for setting up technological roadmap as per the vision of the school

- Provide Professional technological recommendation to Management for improvement in the existing system

3. Technology maturity matrix for IT Financials, procurement, and Vendor Management


- Prepare annual IT Budget and share too -HO IT for their principle consent and then sending to -SMT for approval

- Review quarterly Budget vs expenses status

- Coordinate with Vendor/Support center/Tech Center for New/Existing technology deployment/ regular support

- Build relations with critical vendors to get priority support on issues/disruptions while managing good deals for the school.

- Software Asset Mgmt: Track and manage software licenses to ensure compliance.

- Manage laptop, desktop, and other IT procurement for Staff. Budget vs actuals spends

4. Infrastructure & Network Management


- Managing Infrastructure Portfolio with -System Administrator & Outsourced-Network Administrator/Engineer along with All Site IT-In Charge and their team for uninterrupted operation of all - IT Infrastructure

- Plan, design and manage the IT infrastructure architecture for all locations including datacenter, servers, network links, network hardware, wifi, storage, and infrastructure applications. These areas need to be researched and explored with various vendors.

- Increase / Deploy IT Infrastructure (Cloud mailing and storage MS-O 365/OneDrive, Data Center/Site- Physical/Virtual Servers (AD/DC/SCCM/File/Print/Web, etc.), Firewall, Routers, Network L3/L2 Switches, Endpoints, etc.) across based on user need

- Data Center/Site Server/Network/Wifi Management with System/Network Administrator

- Ensure backup of all identified data, applications, configurations to be able to revive systems from failure and avoid data loss.

- Support IT, Team, by interfacing with users/stakeholders for requirements gathering, process mapping, training, identifying issues, streamlining same in current/new infrastructure projects

- Support & address user's infrastructure-related issues with Site/CO IT Team/ Vendor support using ITIL methods.

- Assist in preparation of Infrastructure usage matrix - Prepare an inventory of all Infrastructure and assess its usage across campuses.

- Assist in horizontally deploying identified new technology as per Vision

- Collate issues in existing Infrastructure for improvements by rectification/replacement of current infrastructure

- Evaluation & Introduction of new infrastructure technology as per need of

- Coordinate with OEM/external system integrator for technology evaluation in the environment

- Periodic Communication with key stakeholders (EC, Director, principal, process Heads) on IT process, collecting feedback and do course correction wherever required, and sharing the regular quarterly status of running systems

- Hardware Asset Management. Tracking of all servers, laptops. Disposal of old IT assets.

- Ensuring all Due Diligence to ensure the site/campus application/software/infrastructure are as per IT (Organization/Vendor) Compliance and are up to date

5. Application Management : Uptime of applications : User satisfaction index

- Managing Application Portfolio with System Analyst for uninterrupted operation of all IT-Applications

- Increase/Deploy IT applications (Cloud ERP-Shriconnect & Parent Postal, Mobile App-Parent & Staff, other vendor applications, etc.) across based on user need

- Support Team by interfacing with users for requirements gathering, process mapping, training, identifying issues, streamlining same in current/new projects

- Support & address user's issues through Interfacing/interacting with TC/SEL Team. Collate issues in applications for improvements

- Assist in preparation of Application usage matrix - Prepare an inventory of all applications and assess its usage across campuses.

- Assist in horizontally deploying identified applications

- Conduct training on enterprise applications for teaching staff to increase usage and adoption

- Conduct Periodic Application Training of System Analyst and IT Operation team

- Evaluation & Introduction of new application/software as per need of Increase adoption level of all mission-critical applications.

6. Surveillance Security/ Attendance/Access System Management : Improve skill levels of teaching staff on using Enterprise Applications

- Transport-Buses and campuses surveillance security system evaluation/deployment as per need

- Regular monitoring system status on a monthly/quarterly basis

- Reviewing data storage status on a monthly/quarterly basis

- Staff & Students Face/Biometric Machines & Applications evaluation/deployment and vendor technical support management

- Visitor management software system deployment and vendor technical support management

7. Identity Management :


- Manage identity system to provide unique, secure user ID credentials to school staff and students.

- Ensure integrated identity to provide single sign-on to all applications in house and on the cloud. Timely issuance and removal of User IDs

8. IT Security : Ensure security of IT Assets, Data and Personal Information


- Conduct periodic audits to assess the security gaps

- Take adequate measures to rectify and eliminate security issues at the root cause level.

- Secure the PII (Personal Identifiable Information) in possession of the school related to students, parents, and teachers as per the provision of the govt.

- Design, deploy and manage the security architecture to protect against data loss/leak and systems disruption covering the Datacenter, Laptops/desktops, Mobile devices, networks, wifi, identities from external/internal threats and malware.

- Ensure patching of all Servers, laptops, network devices with latest OS, Applications, and Security patches released.

- Create IT risk register and manage/ remediate all IT risks. Audit remediation score.

9. Communication Management

- Ensuring that school/campuses Parent/Staff are timely communicated as per approved communication received for posting (Circular/email/SMS/uploading etc.) with Shriconnect(ERP) & webmaster

- In case of urgency manage immediate communication posting to Parent/Staff Communications Satisfaction index

10. Team Management

- Manage Site/campuses IT Team of Site IT-In charge, System Administrator, System Analyst, Network Administrator/Engineer, Sr. System Assistant, and System Assistant, etc.

- Create and maintain personal & professional development plans, such as Technological Training & giving an opportunity for Individual/team growth.

- Manage Site/Campus IT Team availability to keep running uninterrupted IT support

- Conduct Periodic Infrastructure Training of System Administrator and IT Operation team

- Keep team motivated and engaged. Team training and development index.

11. Support Education Technology Team Provide the foundation for the education technology team to enable deployments of education applications and new teaching methods with the staff and students.

Position Specifications : Educational Qualification MCA, BE, MBA-systems, GNIIT

Nature of experience : 10 to 15 years IT Infrastructure management for schools or enterprises while leading a small to mid-sized support team.

- Understanding, exposure of Microsoft Environment.

- Understanding, exposure of network and security devices

- Adequate experience in IT security

Duration of experience : 10-15 years
