Job Summary :
- The Microsoft Systems Administrator supports the Infrastructure group in servicing and troubleshooting our Azure and Microsoft Office 365 environments and Microsoft core services. Provides escalation coverage for the Service Desk, participate in the on-call rotation, after hours and weekend support.

Client
- Advise on, and implement, different environments for different requirements, including (but not limited to):
- Different setups for development, testing and production environments
- Environments that require high guaranteed uptime
- Environments that can automatically scale depending upon processing requirements
- Small one-off projects.
- Research and development projects.
- Physical versus cloud-based SQL databases
- Scalable solutions.
- Manage the Azure environments (Development, Testing and Production).
- Monitor performance on all environments (CPU, disk space, etc.) to ensure smooth running of all environments.
- Limit downtime on all environments
- All aspects of cloud security
- Single Sign-on Administration
- Multifactor Authentication configuration and management
- Manage firewalls, VPNs, and remote access to servers, based on different user roles and access requirements
- Manage cloud-based FTP and other forms of file sharing
- Backups, restorations and disaster recovery.
- Research into, and implementation of, new Azure tools to improve efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness
- Monitor and report to management on actual and projected monthly costs
Office 365 Administrator Responsibilities :
People :
- Provide training on O365 solution offerings, as well as IT orientation and security training
- Educate employees around collaboration policy and best practices
Client :
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to maximize O365 functionality and user experience
- Addresses second level customer support issues escalated from Service Desk; troubleshoots difficult cases, documents resolutions and shares findings with the internal IT teams
- Collaborates with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues
Value :
- Research, develop, and deploy Office 365 (O365) solutions, including delivering proof of concepts
- Perform all aspects of the O365 ongoing administration including availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, backup, and security
- Proactively supports Office 365 and related technologies including but not limited to, Exchange Online, DirSync, SharePoint, Teams, Skype for Business, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), etc
- Maintain technical documentation and service catalog on installation of software
- Provides end-to-end root cause analysis and assistance for issues related to Exchange and Office 365
- Administers and supports Microsoft Intune
- Installs, patches, and upgrades systems
Other Functions :
- Follows internal procedures which include change management, incident management, and problem escalation
- Provides 24X7 on-call support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Computer science preferred; relevant/equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Overall 08 to 10 years of experience.
- Minimum two (3) years of experience in systems administration
- Minimum two (2) years of Azure administration experience
- Minimum two (2) years of Office 365 administration experience
Required Skills :
- Must be fluent in English (Reading, Writing and Speaking)
- Experience working with Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing on Azure
- Experience implementing Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS on Azure
- Experience migrating web-based database applications from physical servers and VMs to Azure is desired
- Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Ability to work to tight timelines
- Excellent logical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Very high attention to detail
