Job Description :
- The Senior Systems Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of a specific project which has a beginning, an end, and specified deliverables.
- Any Graduate with the overall experience of 15+ plus years where 7+ plus years of experience in Project Management & ITIL Knowledge with certification in ITIL V3 Foundation or PMP.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities : The Senior Systems Manager performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following :
- Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management.
- Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
- Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
- Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
- Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.
- Execute the project according to the project plan. Maintain forms and records to document project activities on appropriate files and make sure it's secured.
- Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
- Establish a communication schedule to update senior management including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project.
- Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.
What you would have :
- Excellent Management skills with the ability to lead the team in a positive way and get the work done.
- Strong experience building HP servers with Windows Server operating systems, drivers, patches, and security updates management.
- Expert level knowledge in Active Directory infrastructure.
- Good knowledge in administration of one virtualization technology (Hyper-V preferred, but VMWare or Zen or others okay)
- Expert-level knowledge of Exchange or Office 365 email administration.
- Backup and recovery of bare metal to specific applications level backup/recovery experience.
- SQL Server database administration is a great plus, but a not required skills.
- Azure knowledge is a great one to have but not a requirement.
- Sound knowledge in PowerShell scripting, and automation
- DevOps knowledge in Puppet, Chef, and Ansible - any one of those skills would be nice to have.
- Solid troubleshooting experience when it comes to solving production problems and handling escalations from levels 2 and 3.
- Exposure to ITIL, incident, problem management, change management, and configuration management would be a great plus.
- Good understanding of Web servers (anyone - IIS or Apache, or NGINX) - but not a requirement.
- Good understanding of networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSL are great to have skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- You possess at least one technical certification (Microsoft preferred)
