IT Infrastructure Engineer - Windows/Linux Server (6-12 yrs) (Singh & Associates)

Job Description :


1. Candidate must lead project to provide trainers and develop training environments for employees

2. Spearheaded creation and translation of training materials, if required.

3. Must have the neck of negotiation in service-level agreements (SLAs) with external service providers for administration and maintenance of telecommunications across our four sites- Delhi (East of Kailash), Gurugram, Bangalore & Mumbai enabling employee's systems to operate at full productivity.

4. Also, must have in practice for cost savings of more than 40% through negotiations for new software platform, data and voice communications contracts.

5. Responsible for application batch processing assuring and Management to receive required data, files, reports, receipts, emails, etc. each morning.

6. Conducted in-depth IT Infrastructure site surveys and delivered detailed site survey reports on behalf of Singh & Associates.

7. Know the implementation of current global WSUS infrastructure.

8. Experience in maintaining server and desktop OS security to eliminate vulnerabilities as well as hand full experience in monitoring systems, networks, and sent assessment reports to senior management.

9. Established, maintained and configured secure communication using SSL certificate generation and exchange; revised and modified as necessary to ensure secure network environment.

10. Knowledge about configuration for IT infrastructure network and supervised its implementation.

11. Supported infrastructure from an engineering and architecture perspective.

12. Maintained group mailboxes, distribution lists and public folders creation Tools of the Trade-IT infrastructure engineers work with a wide variety of equipment and software: Ticket or support software (such as Zendesk or Freshdesk) Linux and Windows-based servers and associated hardware. Office 365, SharePoint, Citrix/ VM Ware/ VDI

IT Infrastructure Engineer Duties and Responsibilities :

- Establish Network Infrastructure- Whether they are building a whole IT network or setting up a PC and access permissions for a new hire, IT infrastructure engineers provide the technological foundation for much of our organization's day-to-day operations. This process involves both hardware and software setup and often interaction and basic training with end users who may not be familiar with the finer points of IT with respect to S&A is concerned.

- Provide IT Support- Because IT systems are so crucial to the daily operations of our organization, Go-getter attitude must be the key resultant indicators fro his/ her growth which comes with quick problem-solving attribute. Depending on the scope of their duties, the engineer will be responsible for liaising with affected stakeholders, identifying the problem, devising a solution, and implementing that fix.

- Maintain Network Components- Minimizing IT outages/ faults, requires constant upkeep of the network infrastructure. 


- He/ She must have handle updates, upgrades, and other maintenance tasks in both hardware and software areas. Additionally, he/ she should look for ways to make the network more efficient, cost-effective, and secure.

IT Infrastructure Engineer Skills and Qualifications

- Software knowledge - must have worked with a variety of software. A working knowledge of how these various systems interact virtually helps our IT department conducting rapid troubleshooting.

- Hardware knowledge - routers, servers, PCs, printers, and other equipment all fall under the IT infrastructure engineer's purview. The engineer also knows how to manage LANs and wired/wireless networks to connect these devices

- Problem-solving skills - getting many pieces of hardware and software to work in harmony is an ongoing and challenging task. Strong deductive reasoning and patience serve engineers well here

- Customer service - infrastructure engineers tend to work with internal rather than external partners. Communicating well with these - customers- helps the engineer resolve outages quickly and build strong working relationships

- Teaching ability - engineers may need to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical colleagues and train them to use software and hardware

- Organization skills - whether keeping cable sprawl to a minimum, documenting their work, or prioritizing requests for support, IT infrastructure engineers need to stay organized to keep on top of their tasks

Qualification: Graduate (B.Sc./ B. E/ B.tech) in IT/ Computer science.

ITSM Overview. MCSE Certification (it will be a plus)
