Cloud Engineer - AWS/Jenkins (3-5 yrs) (Ninestars)

Job Description:

We are looking for Senior Engineer having minimum of 3+ years of experience and responsible for manage, maintain and support 24/7/365 (Rotation Shift).

The core responsibilities include manage, administration, monitor & improve the application infrastructure, 24x7 Support, handling production releases, server & service uptime and resource optimization.

You will also be responsible for integrating and migration application form Data Center to Cloud or vise versa.

We're looking for someone good in Linux, windows server, Data Center and Cloud support expert. You will join a team of Remote infrastructure, where we provide end to end infrastructure solution to end customer for multiple application services.

Responsibilities: 

- A detailed understanding of the common technologies found in enterprise IT environments including datacenter and Internet edge technologies

- Good Interpersonal Communication Skills and you are willing to work with remote teams.

- Efficient and Creative You should be able to think creatively to find the optimal solution to problems

- Analyzing complex and/or sensitive events detected in Cloud (AWS) environments

- Providing proactive & reactive technical support, second line phone/email consultation to independently debug complex product problems.

- Experience building and maintaining ITIL methodology

- Contribute to documentation to build knowledge base

- Provide 24X7 escalation support for all P1/P2 application related issues

- Ability to work independently, as the position only receives minimal supervision with no instruction on routine work and general instruction on new assignments

Required Technical Skills:

- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure

- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools

- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes

- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies

- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

- Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux and/or Windows based environments.

- Experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (i.e. IIS, Tomcat, Apache, NGINX, etc.)

- Experience with virtualization and containerization (i.e. VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V)

- Knowledge of SQL, Networking, Linux, Java Web Servers and knowledge in Cloud technologies.

- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Advanced experience with monitoring systems (Zabbix, Nagios, Cacti, etc. )

- Advanced experience with automation software (i.e. Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, Gitlab)

- Advanced scripting skills (i.e. bash shell, Perl, Python)

- Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)

- Cloud experience, preferably in AWS is a plus

- BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering or a related subject

- Good communications and interpersonal skills

- Working knowledge with Jira, Jenkins, GIT and Confluence will be an added advantage

Preferred Technical Skills (for more than 3 years):

- Data Center administration and support

- Cloud AWS/DO/GC/Azure any one

- Monitoring tool automation

- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) and/or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) and/or AWS Solutions Architect Associate recommended

Other skills:

- Good communication skill
