Relevant Experience : Min 6 years (in Windows Server Administration) and at least 1 years of L3 experience
Educational Qualification : Full time Diploma/Bachelors/Masters Degree in any stream (engineering background preferred) with excellent academic track record.

Job description:
- The primary responsibility is to support the existing or implement new Windows Infrastructure.
- Escalation point for L1 and L2
- Assist Managers & Leads
Business Relationships:
- Constantly communicates with associates and customers
Key Responsibilities:
Process :
- Day to day Operational issues, requests and Project tasks
- Respond and resolve escalated system incidents, problems or outages and accurately report and document solutions
- Problem determination and resolution within SLA's
- Use the available monitoring tools during the maintenance activities(scheduled or unscheduled) to suppress the alerts, collect information for troubleshooting
- Create, review, update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist in proper designing, planning and documenting.
- Responsible for providing senior level of support for Wintel team.
- Perform the Shift handovers
- Use the available monitoring tools during the maintenance activities(scheduled or unscheduled) to suppress the alerts, collect information for troubleshooting
- Being part of the technical team during CAB reviews, Projects and Incidents
- Ticket Status Check and Update
- Incident Escalation and Progress Monitoring
- Participate in team on-call response 7x24x365.
Windows :
- Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot Windows Operating system on physical servers and in virtualized environments
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Windows Cluster, NLB, Terminal Services(RDS)
- Troubleshoot Windows Server Performance issues using various performance and monitoring tools
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Hyper-V infrastructure
- Service Pack upgrade and hot fix installations and windows version upgrade
- Creating File Shares, Placing the users & Groups in Shares, Troubleshooting NTFS Permission issues
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot DFS servers
- Uninstalling software applications, Drivers, Windows Updates from the servers if they are causing issues
- Perform troubleshooting of either Physical Memory or virtual memory, Disk, Processor, Process and Service related start-up issues, and setting up the Performance monitoring on the servers
- Use PowerShell scripts for day to day activities.
Hardware :
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot various server hardware (Blade, Rack)
- Check Hardware components Status and logs using management utilities
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources and key processes
Active Directory :
- Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and provide solutions for Active Directory including RODC
- Domain upgrade, domain migration, configuring and troubleshooting domain trust, replications
- Operate and Maintain security groups
- Configure and Troubleshoot GPO, DNS, DHCP
- AD disaster recovery
VMWare :
- Perform VM vMotion, Storage vMotion, Add/Remove Memory or any other Hardware resources on the VM
- Installing or upgrading Vmtools, upgrade hardware version on the VM
- Taking, Deleting and reverting snapshots of the VM
- Adding ESX host to maintenance during any scheduled activities
- Perform other day to day operations on VMware infrastructure
Anti-Virus :
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot various enterprise grade Anti-virus applications (SEP, McAfee, etc.- )
Patch Management :
- Install, Configure, maintain and troubleshoot WSUS infrastructure, approve and push the patches
- Patch management using other tools such as LANDesk, SCCM etc-
Team Work :
- Train and mentor the peers and juniors in the team.
- Validate the quality of work performed by peers and juniors in the team
- Co-ordinate with various teams such as monitoring, backup and Network to ensure proper functioning of all servers and its services
Must-have Skills : Prior working experience
Windows :
1) Installed, Configured, maintained and have done troubleshooting of Windows Server operating systems
2) Added and removed Windows server features and roles such as Terminal servers (RDS), DNS, DHCP, etc.-
3) Done troubleshooting using Performance Monitor or any other tools, Event Viewer and Task Manager
- Active directory: configured and maintained Active directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
VMWare :
1) Perform VM vMotion, Storage vMotion, Add/Remove Memory or any other Hardware resources on the VM
2) Troubleshooting ESXi hosts
3) Taking, Deleting and reverting snapshots of the VM
4) Adding ESX host to maintenance during any scheduled activities
5) Perform other day to day operations on VMware infrastructure
- Hardware: Installed, Configured, maintained and troubleshoot server hardware from any one vendor (IBM, HP, UCS, Nutanix and Dell Hardware)
Good to have skills: Prior working experience
- Windows: Configure and troubleshoot Terminal servers (RDS), Windows Clustering, NLB, DFS, Internal PKI, and Hyper-V. PowerShell cmdlet and scripting
- Hardware: Various blade systems (IBM, HP, DELL, UCS, etc...)
- Patch management: Installed, Configured and troubleshoot WSUS infrastructure, has done windows server patching using tools such as WSUS, SCCM, LANDesk etc...
- Anti-Virus: Implement, Manage and troubleshoot various Anti-virus applications (SEP, McAfee, etc.- ).
- VMWare: Created Virtual Machine, performed cloning, created and deleted snapshots, added and removed hardware resources on GuestOS
- Cloud Technologies: Working experience in Azure and AWS are added advantage
- Candidate working with Managed Services/IT Services company is preferred, and a background in dealing with global teams and remote teams will be a strong plus
- Relevant certification: MCSA, MCSE Certification on Windows server 2008/2012, ITIL is a strong plus
