Exchange On Premises Administrator


Job Requirements :


- In-depth understanding and working knowledge of various versions of MS Exchange 2007/2010/ 2013/2016 and Office 365. Especially strong understanding and work experience with Exchange 2010/2013/2016 & 2019

- Good Understanding of AD, DNS and DHCP

- Strong understanding of Outlook connectivity with RPC/TCP, Outlook Anywhere, and MAPI over HTTP to Exchange 2010/2013/2019

- Strong skill-sets for troubleshooting client-side issues for Outlook.

- Strong understanding of the CAS role and its dependency on other Exchange server roles.

- Strong understanding and troubleshooting skills on CAS components like Autodiscover, OAB, EAS, OA, EWS, OWA, MAPI and VDIR's.

- Very Strong understanding of configuring and troubleshooting VDir's and IIS Metabase.

- Should be well versed with analysis of Eventlogs, IIS logs, HTTP logs, EWS Logs, ETL, PROCDUMP ETC (All CAS & Mailbox Logs) and skilled with tools like Ex-mon, Perfmon, Netmon, MFCMAPI, Fiddler & other Sniffing tools.

- Strong knowledge about the INTERACTION PROCESS BETWEEN CLIENTS AND EXCHANGE 2010/2013/2019 MBX & CAS SERVERS

- Basic Understanding of HCW and how ON premises Exchange is configured for HCW and creating Migration Endpoints.

- Good understanding and command of PowerShell scripts and CMDLETS used for day to day to Exchange related activities.

- Knowledge of Managing roles and services, user permissions, e-mail queues, and DL's.

- Troubleshooting deployment, upgrade, recovery and decommissioning of Exchange servers.

- Prepare labs for the co-existing environment and reproduce issues such as mailbox migration issues, permission issues and freebusy, DAG issues, Client connectivity issues, authenticationtrust issues and document the findings.

- Good understanding with DAG (To plan, deploy, perform switchovers), DR, RBAC, RPT, Ediscovery, Mailflow (both onprem and O365), Autodiscover, VD's, Migration (Onboarding and Offboarding) and client connectivity.

- Troubleshooting on mailflow issues, configuring accepted domains & smart hosts, high CPU spike, log growth issues and Bottleneck.

- Troubleshoot issues related to OAB, DLP, HCW, Journaling and active sync., configure message interval and troubleshoot if the emails are stuck in queue. Should be able to handle back pressure scenarios, configure and modify transport rules.

- Should be well versed with the Eventlogs, IIS logs, Message tracking logs, Protocol logs, ETL and skilled with tools Ex-mon, Perfmon, Netmon, Fiddler & ULS
