Relevant Experience : 8 to 10 years.
Job Responsibilities :
- Manage and maintain Database setup hosted on Cloud(AWS/Azure) and Physical Infrastructure.
- Maintains multiple database management systems in database design, testing implementation, maintenance and administration in a multiple platform environment contributing to policy and procedure development.
- Under limited supervision, maintains and monitors database utilities, the relationships between the database users and applications, uses query languages in order to design required summary or aggregation tables to support analyses.
- Under limited supervision, reviews functional requirements to resolve issues related to information flow and content.
- Under limited supervision, maintains database support tools, database tables and dictionaries, recovery and backup procedures.
- Under limited supervision, analyses, designs, creates and implements databases, including data models, logical and physical databases, data dictionaries and schemas, access methods, device allocations, validation checks, organization and security.
Required Technical Skills :
- Cloud Technology: AWS, Azure
- SQL installations and configuration for SQL server 20082008R22012201420162017, troubleshooting installation issues.
- SQL database upgrades/Migrations, backup and restores.
- Creation of the SQL logins and users, access provision as per the requirement.
- Configuration of database mirroring and troubleshooting mirroring issues.
- Configuration of Always on availability groups and troubleshooting AG issues.
- Configuration of log shipping and troubleshooting Log shipping issues.
- Creation of AG listeners, adding the database to always on and performing the failovers.
- Configuration of Transaction replication and troubleshooting for replication issues, knowledge and hands on other replication topologies.
- Installation and configuration of SQL server clustering, performing the failovers and troubleshooting the SQL cluster issues.
- SQL performance tuning and Query optimization, knowledge on backup tools like TDP and semantic net backup
- SQL patching such as applying service packs, security patches and Hotfixes.
Other Required Skills & Abilities :
- ITIL Process awareness with Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management
- Awareness of Cloud Solution(AWS)
- SQL/DB performance tuning and monitoring tool usage and setup: SolarWinds/ManageEngine/DBArtisan/SQLSentry/SpotLight etc.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfil all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
- Provide subject matter expert level knowledge to the team and customer as needed.
- Assist Developers in case of troubleshooting
- Be available if needed to support 24/7 - 365 for emergency troubleshooting issues, critical project support, and application monitoring.
Good to Have : Awareness of other Database solutions: MongoDB, MySQL
