Job Description :

- Daily operations & administration of Virtualization platform (VMware ESXi, Hyper V, Nutanix).

- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VMware/Hyper V Environment.

- Administration and support of MS Office 365 suite, including configurations and policies.

- Administration and management of DFS, Terminal Servers, Hyper V, Internet Information Server, System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and file server migrations.

- Create and manage accounts on Active Directory.

- Administration and management of SAN and NAS solutions.

- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Active Directory and Group Policy in a domain environment.

- Monitoring of Windows systems to maintain uptime SLA and reliable operation.

- Manage and maintain the backup solution.

- Create and maintain documentation relating to Windows infrastructure and applications supported.

- Creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for related activities/ functions.

- Capacity planning and forecasting: Using tools such as Vrops, monitor the capacity utilization and forecast the future requirements based on the trends.

- Handle systems audits and ensure that the identified gaps are fixed.

Key Responsibilities :

- Proactively monitor various logs (server logs, storage logs, backup logs, etc.).

- Provide root cause analysis of incidents.

- Work on the alerts raised by SCOM for proactive fixing.

- Work with a change control policy on any changes.

- Log calls with external providers/ vendors where and when necessary.

- Perform troubleshooting and fixing the issues.

- Effectively manage support calls by providing continual feedback, time-based resolution, and follow-up calls subsequent to closure.

- Perform periodic preventative maintenance identified by Data Centre Manager/ IT

Services Coordinator :

- Make recommendations to IT Services Coordinator for improving processes.

- Other tasks as identified by Data Centre Manager/ IT Services Coordinator.

- Patch Management for VMware, Nutanix, Windows, Linux, and hardware components.

- Coordination with application team to identify and address issues causing degraded application performance.

- Works with DC Manager to design and implement technical solutions.

Experience & Skill requirements :

- Must have minimum 10 years of hand-on experience in managing and maintaining Windows and Linux environments in a mid/ large company.

- Must have minimum 8 years of hands-on practical experience as a VMware, Linux and Windows system engineer/ administrator.

- Experience in powershell scripting.

- Work experience in Windows Server 2012/2016, IIS, Microsoft SQL & Windows clustering technologies, Active Directory, Group Policy, SCOM & SCCM, Backup, Storage and DFS file systems.

- Must have in-depth knowledge of VMware based virtualization platform.

- Must have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.

- Sound understanding of networking, LAN/WAN, DNS/DHCP, routing, switching and firewalls.

- Good understanding of current cloud technologies/ platforms. Work experience on any cloud technology/ platform will be an added advantage.

- Ability to learn new technologies and adopt new tools and techniques to increase automation, performance and scalability.

- Strong analytical abilities and problem solving / trouble shooting skills.

- Good communication skills.

- Must be a team player.

Education & Qualification :

- Should be a Graduate (BE/ BTech or Diploma in Electronics/ Computer Science)

- Professional certifications (MCSA, VMware, Cloud, etc.) will be of added advantage
