Required Experience :
- Experience of designing Security solutions.
- Hands-on experience with switching, routing and security components of enterprise networks.
- Experience with Fortinet and other vendors, URL filtering and Content Filtering.
- Knowledge of some VPN technologies (L2L, Remote VPN, PPTP, Any Connect, DMVPN, SSL Web Based VPN)
- Experience with VMWare and Hyper-V
- Some knowledge of Sniffer traces and Interpretation using Wireshark
- Experience with Layer 2 & 3 Networking and understanding of access and distribution layer LAN switching environments with VLANs, Spanning Tree (RSTP, PVST, MST), VTP, Etherchannel.
- Working knowledge of Routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
- Knowledge of WAN technologies, PTP links, MetroE, VPLS and MPLS. SDWAN is a plus.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and communication protocols in LAN / MAN / WAN environments.
- Must be thoroughly proficient in the following protocols/technologies :
a) Route manipulation (Redistribution, Summarization, Route filtering and Policy Routing), VPN (client and site-to-site),
b) Ethernet Switching: (CatOS, IOS, JunOS switch configurations, VLANs, Spanning Tree, HSRP/VRRP),
c) IOS features: (PAT, NAT, SNMP, NetFlow, QoS), Security server protocols (SCP, SFTP, HTTPS, etc.),
d) Traffic filtering, Access lists, Radius, Tacacs+, IOS VPN, IPSec, Fortinet firewalls, Pix/ASA firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN Concentrators, Solarwinds Orion & NCM, Cisco Routers(ASR, 2900, 3900), Catalyst 6500, 4500, Nexus, and other model switches, Citrix NetScaler and F5 load balancers/GTM, InfoBlox DNS, Juniper switches and routers.
- In-depth understanding of a variety of network and application attacks: examples include DoS/DDoS, buffer overflows, SQL injection, reconnaissance scanning, and evasive methods attackers use to avoid detection; must be able to demonstrate a minimum level of familiarity with well-known vulnerabilities and exploits.
- Working knowledge of Windows server and AD administration experience.
- Reviews access control list (ACL) rules on Cisco ASA & Fortinet firewall platforms for troubleshooting purposes
- Working knowledge with IT security, compliance, and regulatory requirements, such as Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Healthcare Information Privacy Protection Act (HIPPA), state and Federal privacy laws.
- Experience in administrating authentication controls (Radius, RSA/SecureID and TACACS+) in the enterprise.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining encryption techniques and standards (3DES, PKI, MD5, SSH, SSL), in a client and site-to-site configuration.
- Experience with Solarwinds, Splunk, Netflow, and various network monitoring tools.
- Ability to prepare documentation with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project.
- Good project management capability to manage multi-tasking network projects and prioritize the tasks in an efficient manner to meet and exceed customer goals.
