Cyber security Engineer - IT Disaster Recovery (10-12 yrs) (cognegicsys pvt ltd)

Responsibilities

1. Implement the cybersecurity best practices to protect organisation systems against unauthorized access, modification and/or destruction Actively monitor network traffic for suspicious behaviour.

2. Proactively leverage security tools to scan and assess the network for vulnerabilities.

3. Perform vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats.

4. Contribute to and maintain documentation for systems, processes, procedures, and infrastructure configurations.

5. Configure security systems, analyse security requirements, and recommend improvements.

6. Write up security policies and training documents about security procedures.

7. Implement network security policies, application security, access control and corporate data safeguards.

8. Develop and update business continuity and disaster recovery protocols.

9. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all servers, systems, and key processes.

10. Provide training to staff, managers, and executives about the best security practices and providing technical advice.

Requirements

1. At least 10-12 years of experience as systems or network administrator, with a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in cybersecurity.

2. A strong understanding of firewall technologies (Sonicwall)

3. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

4. Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, including protocols, operating systems, and networks.

5. Intermediate to expert intrusion detection system/intrusion prevention system knowledge

6. Experience with Microsoft 365.

7. Excellent teaching, interpersonal, and communication skills

8. Any security certification is must.
