Job Description :

Platform & Storage Lead :

- Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services

- Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure

- Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes

- Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs

- Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software

- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT

Qualifications desired :

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience

- Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies like - Storage, Databases, OS - Microsoft Azure, Windows Servers& Linux, Informatica. Exposure on Nutanix & Rubrik is an added advantage.

- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems

- A clear understanding of core Cloud Computing services is highly crucial.

- Understanding of the basic functioning of Networking, Databases, Software, and Servers in the Cloud.

- Basic Microsoft knowledge is mandatory. Experience in using products such as PowerShell and Office 365

- Should have expertise in any one of the programming languages. Basic knowledge in open-source frameworks such as ASP.NET and programming languages such as JavaScript, SQL Server, and HTML5 is preferable.

- Deploying and Configuring Virtual Networks.

- Orchestrating Routing Paths, especially in a Hybrid Cloud.

- Managing Public and Private IP addresses for your VMs and selected other Azure resources.

- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills

- Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize

- Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities :

- Analyze department needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency and accuracy to inform business decisions

- Ensure network components meet needs and work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitive solutions

- Continuously analyze current process, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement

- Prepare cost benefits analysis reports when upgrades are necessary, continuously analyzing vendors to ensure they offer the best possible service and value for company needs

- Train employees on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support when needed

- Develop and execute disaster procedures, and maintain data backups

Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science

- 10+ years experience in IT management

- Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (MS Exchange, Active Directory, and other Windows-based systems), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring

- Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions
